I have a problem...

As I was walking through my house yesterday trying desperately to find spots to place all my new treasures, I realized I have a problem.   I have a shoe fetish... not the kind that the average woman would obsess about.

Somewhere through the years I have lost sight of what was once so important to me... instead of wearing shoes... I am now decorating with them, what is wrong with me?

Now I don't know if there is an actual medical condition you can label this with, but me thinks that this can't be normal...

now it isn't the big shoes I like... they have to be baby size...

these are actually Leprechaun size... check out those toes

even Fred has his own pair...

they are everywhere...

on my mantle...

let's not forget the stand to put them on...

in my hallway...  a doily even... what was I thinking?... check out those toes

in the washroom... check out those toes

Can you have an obsession within another obsession?

I just realized that I not only like them small, but I obviously like them beat up...

in my other hallway

this one even received special treatment...

clearly this fetish didn't start overnight...

these are my daughters first shoes and she is 34 years old...

check out those toes...

oh no, one pair was bad enough but I saved two pairs

There seems to be shoes everywhere in my house except in my closet.

Now I ask you, is this normal?

Should I be concerned?

I would really appreciate your thoughts on this matter.

I don't dare show you my cast iron fetish...or my cast iron bank fetish... or my butter churn fetish... or my pottery fetish... or my wood fetish... or all the other remaining fetishes I have lurking under my roof...

Okay so I am now recording the Hoarding programs to watch at a later date.

Do you have a fetish you would like to share... please come clean and  make me feel better...lol

Hugs,

LOL too funny Deb! You know we all have something. I have a fetish for bed linens. I buy a whole new set at least once a month, sometimes (often) more. I have my spring set waiting for a week or two more before it's first christening (I bought it last summer). I have several brand new sets in the packages un-used still. I buy countless throw blankets for the foot of the bed that just get kicked off or moved from place to place. Although Kat seems to like it. I say in my case, it's all HOMESENSE's fault.

I don't think you have a problem It's a problem when you can't find a place to put them. Love they way you've displayed them.

I have a fetish for buttons, all kinds. I have four jars of them and am eyeing the buttons on the pastor's wife's new sweater. Wonder if she would miss just one?

Who me? I don't have any fetishes...ha ha
Sounds to me like you have a perfectly normal habit. But then consider the source ;)

That is very funny! Decorating with shoes. Well, at least you don't have the normal, no very boring, shoe fetish that every woman suffers from. Me, I am weening myself of shoes. Actually, of shopping in general.
Anyway, I love your decorating skill. It takes a very unique person to be able to decorate with shoes and make it look good.
