My MoJo got up and left...

I figured I better start posting something soon or you all are going to think I dropped off the face of the earth.  I can't seem to get motivated to do anything lately. That Hoarders show has literally scared the crap right out of my house. Lately I look at things and if it doesn't have a purpose it is gone.  I think I trained my brain too much the other way now.  I can't seem to look at anything anymore and have 5 uses for it,  I just look at it and see junk... what has happened to me?  Do you go through slumps like this from time to time?

I comb the thrift stores and walk out empty handed now.  I am looking for a piece that would really get me excited to get the juices flowing again, but it just hasn't happened yet.  Hopefully when the garage sales start again I will have better luck.

I am maxed out for space in my house and I "love" most of what I have now so there is another reason for not purchasing anything.  I had a rule that if I brought something in, something had to go... I was really liking that concept but when that phase ends where do you go from there?

So that is what I have been up to lately or haven't been up to lately whichever way you look at it.

Hope you all have a great week...

Big Hugs to all...

I think I know what you mean, I did not even get any Easter decorations out this year. It seems I would rather be out taking pictures now, my obsession has changed from fabric to snap shots.

I really do know what you mean! I have actually been like that lately...I am going through things right now for a yard sale & telling myself that things will never get like this again!
Hope you're having a great Monday!

Count me in! I just seem to be in a slump and cooking is all that I do lately. I am hoping that the warm weather will spark something. Anything. I can't even get motivated to clean. It seems like such a chore. Now I just feel overwhelmed.

Deb,
So sorry to hear of your slump. With the recent loss of your Mom it's perfectly normal to still be in mourning and to question the importance of everything else in your life. Do what feels right and good to you right now. If your junk makeovers and shopping make you feel good, do them. If not, then look around you to see if there's another window opening.... It's good to see you checking in. I was wondering how you were doing.
Keep ur chin up, girl.
We'll all be here when you need us.

Oh Deb, this is something that a lot of us are going through at this time. Just ride it out, then you can get back into it when you're mind is ready:) Hugs~Carol

Hi Deb, Thanks for stopping by my blog. I haven't been up to buying or junking for the past couple of months. I know just what you mean about that show Hoarders. It scared me and I'm not even one to have what I consider a whole lot of things. I don't like housework enough to dust collectibles unless they'er something I really like.

Once the garage sales start up again I'll probably start buying things again. Old habits are hard to break.

By the way, I understand that they're going to start charging for bags here. The trick for me using my recycled shopping bags is that when I empty them I put my car keys with the bags so that I remember to take them back to the car.
