hmmm, sandpaper, scraper that will work....
Mr. D. was starting to eyeball this for firewood, so I decided it better start looking a little prettier before it met its demise.
Here is the underneath that Rose was talking about...
After sanding and scraping about 50 years of crud off of this little guy it is starting to look like it has possibilities...
This was the big conversation piece at the park, amazing how interested people become when you pull out a piece to start working on... we all decided that this had a history, but for what?... look at those holes on the top, something was mounted to this and look at all those paint splatters, was it possibly a vice... any ideas?
I added this to the magic bag the other day... let’s see if it is worth the $13.50 I paid for it... no bargain there, but I have heard so much about this, I had to give it a try...
Oh so much nicer now... I left some of the paint spatters on it purposely... afterall that was the story it is trying to tell... at least it is more presentable and the wood had a nice drink so it will be happier now...
Well I hope you enjoyed this post... I know it was a long time coming... it only took me about 10 hours with an intermitent signal to get this on here...
I put the same wax on it and rubbed it back off... although it is dark brown wax it brought the red right back to life...
I am sure you remember this pump and spade... look at the crud patina on that pump...
Ice tongs... before
After rubbed with wax...
I just saw this saying and I think it says alot about what we all do, don't you think?
The happiest of people don't necessarily
have the best of everything;
They just make the most of everything they have.
Hugs,

I am sorry to tell you but I see no photos or dialogue--just title.
Maybe it is an inside joke and I don't get it.

Okay Deb, Did you forget to wave the wand at your post or are some of us a little slow...LOL
Wonder if Deb is still camping in the booies and can't get a good signal. I want to see the magic bag. Oh Deb !!!!!!!!!
Wow those look great! Love the stool even more now. It was just so sturdy and different looking.
Came out even better with all the crud taken off. I'm kicking myself that I didn't pick up some of that Briwax now.
Love the little stool. I'll have to watch for some of the BriWax. I like keeping things natural and that seems to bring out the life in them.
Maybe you've inspired some of the people at the campground with your demonstration.
Please come by and post something you have redone or repurposed to Vintage Suitcase Friday!
Wow! I've gotta get me some of that stuff. I can see your photos and all and they all look awesome. That little stool must have been a base for something huh?
