First Treasure Hunt in 2010... not a good sign

Well I started out the new year on a bad note... it is only two days into the year and I have already gone on a treasure hunt... My Christmas money was burning a hole in my pocket so what was I do to... I was tired of mending the pocket so off I went to rid myself of that burden...

I have been looking for one of these large butter molds forever... I haven't found many of them on my hunts at a price I was willing to pay... can you spell C H E A P... that would be me... thanks Jan for scouting this one out and at a price I was willing to pay, bonus

Isn't this just the cutest little Ice Cream Wagon... I couldn't resist this for $15.00

you can see the handle in the front in this pic

the end

I cannot pass up numbers especially when they were only 50 cents each...

another crock to my collection...

Wilnecote Pottery - Tamworth - Georg Skey - Staffordshire c.1862-1900

another primitive crock pitcher... price was right I just couldn't resist

you don't come across these crock cruet's often and
at $4.80 I certainly wasn't going to pass it up...

my 50 cent mystery piece... I am assuming it is a pottery candle holder... or a giant egg cup

I found this antique pipe box a while back at Goodwill for $2.00... score

wow, does that sunlight soap bring back memories... it is just missing the paring knife that we used to shave it into the wringer washing machine... I am really dating myself now...lol... how spoiled we have become... we didn't have a dryer growing up... can you imagine having 5 kids and hanging the clothes outside all year round... oh my poor mother... I don't even park my car outside I am such a whimp.

Oh it doesn't look like slim picking to me. Looks like you got some great treasures. Love the little ice cream cart.

Holy cow! I'll take one of each of those treasures you found! Those are awesome Deb. I've got agoraphobia, but you are puttin' an itch in my pockets to get out and go junkin'. That's one of my resolutions BTW. Get out of the house! LOL. Thank you Deb, you're a good inspiration to me:) Hugs~Carol

Oh, and my momma had to use a wringer washing machine, a scrub board, and hang the clothes out to dry. Curious as I was, I run my arm through the wringer once. Just once was enough.
