Because of the extreme cold we have been getting lately, I like a few others cannot get out to my garage to get any painting done. It really gets me down when I can't paint. So I took Donna's challenge over at Funky Junk Interiors and spent the day Friday re-organizing my inside workshop area and I am so happy now that I finally have everything in one area and re-familiarized myself with what exactly I do have and where it is (not that I am likely to remember where it is when I need it, mind you). I put up some very needed shelves and moved another shelving unit to that area and now I have a clear working area again where it is warm. I did manage to get a couple of smaller items done this weekend the previous post and this little gem.
I found this little loony tune at the thrift store awhile back...
this is the before...
sanded down and painted black... nothing too exciting
now that is a little more exciting... I had these rusty pigs for awhile and it is perfect for this cute little piggy bank... I added some feet to the box and distressed the edges a bit.
it was just a little too bright... I took a dry brush and toned it down a bit... now that is better... I made a similar one to this awhile back and it sold immediately... I still have another one to do that I found last week...

Oh this is so cute...I love your wooden box! Don't you love it when the wood grain show's through the paint color. It makes your paint job look flawless....not a brush stroke in sight!
