Workshop Makeover

Funky Junk's Workshop Series
Donna was the inspiration to get my workshop in order... all pieces were either garage sale finds or thrifted... with a little imagination and some elbow grease my workshop is now a pleasure to work in...

a $5.00 homemade box I found at a garage sale a few years back now stores my painting essentials...

you may remember this $4.00 thrifted shelf

made the perfect shelving unit...

a piece of dowel, eye hooks and S hooks...
I found several of these rolls of 3M sticky sandpaper along with several books of different grade paper at a GS a few years back...

remember this thrifted tie rack...

the top works as a shelf and the dowels now hold all my rulers and other odds and ends from S hooks...

curbed box I added thrifted wheels and a handle -  perfect for under the table storage...
you can read about it here

you may remember this thrifted bookcase...

it was the perfect size to hold all these...

I added a few more thrifted shelves to this wall...

screwed shelf brackets to the ends of this shelf for some added security...

this bobbin holder worked perfectly for storing all my tape rolls...

table was made from a 4' x 8' plywood with added table brackets... well it is all closed up for the night now... it is so neat I hate to mess it up...lol

thanks Donna for giving me the kick to get this done.

Welcome to the fabulous workshop club! :)

Good for you! The space looks productive and so inviting.

I just love all the little unique touches you've added. The rustic charm of your finds revamped to suit, makes your space so you. You've nailed that!

My total favorite hands down is you turning that shelving unit on it's side, and hooked it up with the dowel and all your fabulous must haves. That is COOL.

Congrats on a wonderful space to play in! :) And thanks for linking up to the workshop before and after event. You done GREAT!!

I love the interesting way you turned shelves and the like to house your items! Very clever. I may be "stealing" that idea!!! And isn't it just wonderful how all your storage drawers fit perfectly into the cupboard. I usually dance around when something like that happens here. Your place looks so efficient!

I found you from the workshop series and now I'm going to read some of your other posts. Have a nice weekend.

wow--
what a great use for all those furniture finds.
You are getting your storage/mileage from each piece.

My favorite is the upright shelf turned horizontally. Way to think outside the box...or shelf as it were.

Good job.

I love your work space... I've been altering garage sale finds for use in my craft room too. You have a lot of great finds. I think I might borrow some of your ideas for my craft room too... I would love to see the over all pictures of your work space.
