This weekend is Thanksgiving in Canada, the perfect time to take a few minutes and reflect back on the goings on of this past bittersweet year.
In February we lost our Mother to lung cancer and a very short time after Mom's passing we received the wonderful news that we were going to be blessed with a new Angel in our lives. The cycle of life goes on.
Blessed we were, when this impatient little bundle decided to appear 11 weeks ahead of schedule . It has been quite the journey to get little Mya to this point... the time just seemed to fly by.
I am happy to announce that Mya has hit the 5 pound mark... all you Mother's know what that number means. It signifies a homecoming is just around the corner. Doctor's report that by middle of next week she will be able to go home and sleep in her new bed, two weeks ahead of schedule.
We have been so blessed to have all you Angels praying for our sweet little one and Mya is living proof that prayer does work. I thank God everyday for this wonderful little blessing that he has bestowed upon us. I also thank him for all the wonderful friends and support we have received along the way. I am so thrilled that I had all of you to share this journey with. God Bless you all and thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Mya saying her prayers...
Today... look at my chubby cheeks now.
awwwhhh...
My daughter called last night to let me know she finally found some time to catch up on all the comments you all have been so kind to leave. She was so touched she started crying. I have watched my daughter grow up so much in these past few months. Lisa has always made me so proud to be her mother. There is no feeling in the world like watching your child become a parent to the most precious gift they could possibly give to you, a Grandchild.
So folks that is what I am thankful for...
I would like to wish all my Canadian friends a very Blessed Thanksgiving.
Hugs to all,
Deb

Little Mya is indeed a miracle. I can't wait to see a picture of her at home in her little bed. Of course I doubt she'll get to spend much time there. I'm sure she'll get a lot of snuggle time. :)
If she's such a determined little gal now, can you imagine what she'll be like when she's old enough to walk? Just get ready granny. lol
So precious. What a wonderful Thanksgiving gift you have been blessed with! Little Mya is a true blessing. Thanks so much for sharing her story with us. She's really become "our" little girl too : ) Iowa hugs....

She sure is something to be thankful for, and look at those chubby cheeks just right for her grammy to kiss them!
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend.
Deb,
Happy Thanksgiving to you! I was away all week and not able to keep up with blogging. Mya is just so healthy and sweet looking in those new photos. It truly is a miracle how quickly she has grown. I'm so happy for you and her parents that she is coming home ahead of schedule. Hurray!
Mya's gonna be a tough lil gal:)
Thanks for dropping by and for the encouraging words. I'm sorry to hear about your Mother passing away but so happy to hear about your little Angel. She's so adorable. I'm so glad for the internet because it made it possible to make friends from a distant place like Canada :)
