His Boomerang Won't Come Back

Wow if you know the old saying everything happens for a reason you have to read this story... it is a good one... yesterday I met my BFF for dinner and I popped into a thrift store as I was earlier than her... as I was combing the isles I spotted this boomerang, handmade from Australia... I kept putting it down and picking it up... finally I picked it up and put it in the basket... I couldn't believe my ears when I was listening to the following story tonight... kinda sent chills down my spine.

My sister and I went to visit our mother tonight and Cindy was telling this cute story how her son is a Big Brother to a 7 year old boy... and his prize possession happens to be a boomerang from Australia... Rick and the little guy went out to play with it and Rick threw it but the boomerang didn't come back... the boy said normally I would cry right about now, but I won't... well Rick is heartbroken that he lost this poor little guys treasure... he has gone back and searched several times to no avail... so Rick doesn't know it yet but the boomerang is coming back... I just hope it is as good  as his original one... I will keep you posted to the outcome of the story...

Update... Rick was so thrilled to hear there was another boomerang available to him... I told him I want "female" details when he gives it to the little guy... I will keep you updated.

Updated 10-05-2009 - Well I finally have the end to this story... I met the little guy tonight, what a cutie... I got the biggest thank you and the biggest smile from him... I asked him if it was the same size as his other one... he said he didn't care he was just so happy to have a boomerang again... so it just goes to show you ... you never know how the story ends when you thrift... thanks to the person who donated that... if only they knew how happy they made a sweet little boy... and a big one who is off the hook now
