I swear I don't work this hard at work and they pay me. Lately it seems I am on a mission to get things done around my house that I have been procrastinating about for years. Geeze you would almost think Donna was having a Get R Done party. It is nice to finally have a few of these projects wiped off the list just in time to start going outside and working out there. It just never ends.
this is how it looked this morning...
and now it is just a memory... it makes the room look so much taller... I am not a fan of white paint but for now I am happy with the new look... maybe this winter I will finally get it painted.
It turned out to be a pretty decent day... we made it to 62F with sunshine. It was a perfect day to get out there and work around the yard a bit. Mother Nature sure knows how to prune, but you would think she could at least clean up her mess... lol
Then I finally got the Christmas decor down, honestly. Heck, when it is still snowing in April who really cares, right? I figured we could have Christmas in July this year.
When I removed the garland from the side door I noticed a few robin eggs had fallen to the ground. Can you believe that is where Mommy decided to discretely hide her nest, I felt so bad. I tried to apologize to her but she would have nothing to do with that. She just kept squawking at me and then finally flew away. That sure wasn't how I wanted to end my day.
How did you spend your day?

That looks much brighter with the border down. I know what you mean about procrastinating. That's something I do best. lol
That's sad about the bird nest. We have a robin's nest above the old farm bell on the front of Grampy's shed. She dive bombs him every time he goes out there.
You've been a busy lady :) Wow that did make a big difference!! I grew up with white walls and now I just have to have a little color lol.
Sad about the birds nest :( I bet the Momma wasn't happy but it happens. She needs to be more careful where to put the nest.
Big hugs!!! xoxo
Deb, first of all, let me thank you for 'following' me! I appreciate it SO much! 2nd- the ceiling does look taller and I love your new grouping on the shelf! Guess what?! I did the same thing with lil birdy eggs a few years ago. Thought the kids were pulling a prank on me with some of my crafting things...lol...mmhmm...well, anyhow, I felt like a murderer! Why do things like that bother the heck out of us until we scramble up eggs for breakfast?! HUGS!
Looks great....sounds like the weather for you is finally behaving, LOL. I love the way you decorate, I am going to enjoy making the PIF gift for you!
Looks great! But, don't you remember the days when everyone was putting up those borders, standing back and saying "Looks great"! Funny how in a few years, no matter what I do, I stand back and say, "what was I thinking???" - lol. I only beat you with the Christmas decorations because I had company for Easter - and mine were inside!
Love what you did to the bathroom! It looks great! So sorry about the eggs. Maybe mother bird learned her lesson though and will find a better nesting place next time!
Wow, you've been so busy! The bathroom looks great.
And so does the mirror! Isn't it great having access to a cutter.
Lisa's poor car! I totally understand how she must feel. But it could be so much worse.
that mya! oh my gosh! such a cutie! :)
trying to play catch up on my reading!

Aww, poor baby birdies. I'm sad to say we've unintentionally destroyed some babies ourselve while trimming and we felt bad about it. Blue Jays, and you know how noisy they are.
I do like your bathroom better without the border. We've got some border of our own that needs taken down.

Oh no! I'm trying to save a silly bird that flew down the fireplace right now! :P hehe
Hi Deb
I must say you have a busy lady... I like it better without the border too... I have one room in my house that I actually like borders the rest not good....
