This 10' x nothing room has literally exhausted me and my savings. Things that I thought would work... didn't. Things that I really wanted to work... wouldn't. I ended up having carpet installed in all three bedrooms and the hallway leading to them. The remainder of the makeover was either re-vamped or thrifted.
the vanity... before
It doesn't require too much imagination to improve on these images ~
anything would be a major improvement...
Let's start at the beginning... before
In case I forgot to tell you the plan...
this space was created for Gramma and Mya to make special memories...
whether it be rocking in the chair...
reading a story...
or wondering what adventure these two little ones are off to...
while we snuggle under the quilt...
or play make believe with the little doll house shelf...
or read Gramma's blog at the new desk made from the old vanity...
or admire all the treasures on the re-vamped cubby shelf...
or contemplate some inspirational sayings on the new chalkboard...
or watch time pass us by on the thrifted clock...
or maybe we can do some crafts...
or play with Gramma's childhood doll...
or play with blocks...
or spell her name with the letters Gail of My Re-purposed Life so kindly donated last year.
No Gail, I didn't forget about them and the colours couldn't have been more perfect...
So folks this is what I have procrastinated about for 6 loooooong years...
now it is time to purge this chapter and carry on to the next room...
So what do you think...
is it a fitting space for a beautiful little Princess to share some
special moments with her favourite Gramma?
or do you think she will be disappointed?
or be so excited, she'll want to call all her friends...
or give Gramma big kisses for at least trying hard...

So that's what you've been up to, looks great, but then again you are a very creative person.
I think Mya will love it, but more because she gets to spend time with her wonderful gramma in the room!
She has the most beauiful eyes......those might be a problem when she gets older, LOL!
Deb! Your room is perfect! oh my! You've worked hard and it shows. I'm so happy that you thrifted this room! It just shows that you don't have to spend a lot of money to have a very useful, beautiful room!
I spied the letters right off! lol Thanks for the shoutout. I wouldn't have minded at all if you had spray painted them. :)
LOVE your room!

I have no idea how I missed this reveal Deb. It's beautiful! Love the paint color and the desk, and the dollhouse and, well everything. You are so good at pulling all the details together. This is truly awesome! I need to get started on my guest room. With gas prices going so high this summer I have a feeling that RV of yours may not be coming with you. Gives me a good excuse to work on that guest room! ;)
