Thrift Finds - 10-27-2009

Found a few things at the thrift store... they are  really slowing down in their donation department... they depend a lot on garage sale leftovers... well I don't need to tell you that they are pretty much dried up now... it may be a long winter...

I found this drop leaf side table at one of my fav haunts... I couldn't resist this one for ME...

I love the shape of those legs... it may get painted if I can decide what colour...

I am not much of a glass girl... give me my wood... but these seem to be so popular in the blog world and I have to admit I love the shape of it and like a jar with a lid... (SOLD)

a handmade salt box... the flower and the top are carved out... too cute... this is staying the way it is.(SOLD)

this appears to be a hand woven basket... not even sure what it is made from... I have never seen one like this before... I love different.

The salt box is really interesting! I've never seen such a thing before. Stopping by from SITS this morning. Love the table, too - makes a good reading table.

Now you can start saving some money for next year, when the sales kick back up.

Oh fun finds! I'm loving the drop leaf table. I've been searching for something like that for weeks now, but haven't had any luck yet!

Hi Deb ... Thanks for stopping by for a visit. You are certainly a thrift-store kindred spirit ... love your finds. End of year is when thrift stores get lots of stuff cuz people donate for tax write off. But donation are down everywhere due to the bad economy; people are selling their stuff at garage sales rather than donating. By the way, I read your previous post and really liked your transformations ... they're great! Enjoyed your blog and will be back!
